Mad Police Cat is inspired by a very real cat that belonged to two police officers who kindly rented me a spare room after I moved out following the breakdown of my marriage. At the time, life was being rebuilt one day at a time, and this permanently wide-eyed feline somehow became part of that journey.

To say the cat was eccentric would be an understatement. It bounced off walls, appeared from nowhere, and seemed to operate entirely on its own set of rules. One particularly memorable Saturday evening, its relentless antics became the final straw and, in a moment of absolute surrender, I shaved all my hair off. Yes… that really happened.

This one-of-a-kind artwork captures that wonderfully unhinged personality. The oversized eyes, explosive brushwork and vibrant yellow background perfectly reflect the energy of a cat that never seemed to stop moving, thinking or plotting.
